A lovely gem of a rug from the turn of the 19th century. Soft and pliable in hand, the design has a balance and restraint not always seen in tribal pieces. Aqua greens, intense salmons, pastel yellows, and brick reds come together in a composition that speaks to the eye of both the dyers and the weaver. A testament to the artistry of the Khamseh tribal weavers.
